LPC What's Happening

                   What’s Happening

LPC is working to set the conditions for the incremental implementation of DC I&L’s Enterprise Ground Equipment Management (EGEM) framework. Key EGEM initiatives currently underway include ground equipment optimization and reset and reconstitution.

Following the December 2014 MROC decision to dispose of most equipment above the 186.8K Active Component and 39.6K Reserve Component force requirement, DC I&L, in coordination with all stakeholders, will develop a POA&M that will drive preparation and execution of an Equipment Disposal Conference. The conference will contribute to development of a coordinated enterprise ground equipment optimization plan supported by an execution playbook. The plan will include the phased disposal and redistribution of equipment throughout the enterprise, and account for requirements under review within the AAO.

GCSS‐MC recently met the requirements to achieve the Full Deployed Decision (FDD) acquisition milestone for Increment 1. Increment 1 consists of Release 1.1 (R1.1) and Release 1.1.1 (R1.1.1). R1.1 is the capability currently in use and fully fielded for nearly two years.

Accountability of our Equipment and Material leads to a stronger Marine Corps and a clean audit opinion. To achieve this, the Marine Corps created a Financial Improvement Plan (FIP) to reach audit readiness by the 2nd quarter of FY16.
