Mission Statement
DC I&L, in coordination with Marine Corps stakeholders, establishes prioritized Enterprise Ground Equipment Management (EGEM) goals and objectives, synchronizes ground equipment and asset management initiatives, and informs investment, resourcing, and capability portfolio management efforts in order to ensure ground equipment decisions support Marine Corps warfighting capabilities.
The EGEM governance and structure will enable the Commandant and senior leadership to make timely, data-driven investment decisions on ground equipment, based on recommendations from DC I&L. It will inform the Commandant when executing his Title 10 responsibilities, so he can make well-informed, prudent, and defendable choices to equip the current and future force in light of decreased budgets and increased oversight by Congress.
