Logistics Plans, Operations, and Futures Branch (LPO/V)

LPO/V Branch Lines of Effort

The LPO/V Branch serves as the focal point for all logistics matters under the Assistant Deputy Commandant Logistics Division (DC I&L, ADC, LP), organized into two primary sub-branches Operations (LPO) and Futures (LPV). The Operations (LPO) sub-branch concentrates on immediate logistical needs, serving as the central point for current operations, the Marine Corps' global prepositioning programs, strategic mobility, and logistics plans. This includes managing War Reserve Materiel, providing situational awareness for ongoing contingencies, and coordinating solutions to logistical challenges as they arise. When required, LPO also leads the Logistics Readiness Coordination Center (LRCC) to ensure continuity of operations.

The Futures (LPV) division is responsible for shaping the future of Marine Corps logistics. This forward-looking team provides the vision and sets the framework for developing and transitioning next-generation logistics concepts and capabilities. Its responsibilities include developing innovative logistics concepts for wargaming, integrating with Naval Logistics, overseeing the structure and training of the logistics force, and identifying and developing future technologies to support experimentation and inform requirements for programs of record. Together, these two divisions ensure the Marine Corps is logistically prepared for both present challenges and future conflicts.
