U.S. Marines with Food Service Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, fire an M240B medium machine gun from the turret of a Joint Light Tactical Vehicle on Range 7 at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 3, 2022. The purpose of the training was to improve the Marines’ ability to operate both light and medium machine guns in a combat environment. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward-deployed combat unit that serves as III MEF’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
