EGEM continues to lean forward to help enhance Marine Corps equipment accountability and readiness within the operating forces. Two major initiatives underway are the Equipment Optimization Plan (EOP) and TAMCN Deep Dives. EOP will right size our equipment to the amount required for the Marine Corps force of today and the future: Where is the equipment? Who has excess and/or obsolete and how will they divest of it? And what critical equipment (high demand/low density) is required in the most operationally relevant locations? The TAMCN Deep Dives are designed to determine the root causes of high profile equipment readiness concerns. These drill-downs into the foundational data in combination with a robust analytical process are providing critical new insights to enhance decision-making by Marine Corps senior leadership.
