LP’s Logistics, Policies and Strategy Branch – South (LPS) is working to finalize FY17 actions associated with the Logistics Combat Element (LCE) reorganization. The staffing of CLB 8, the addition of Surgical Co C, 2d Medical Battalion, the activation of Engineer Services Companies, and the increased capacity in Transportation Support Battalions, and 3d Marine Logistics Group will complete the LCE portion of the 182k force. Also associated with this effort is the MLG Capacity Study. This study will frame logistics units of employment in each sub-functional logistics capability area, and the results will be used to assess and measure MLG capacity.
