2nd Transportation Battalion and 1st Landing Support Battalion conduct railhead operations
U.S. Marines with Landing Support Equipment Company, 1st Landing Support Battalion (LSB), Combat Logistics Regiment 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group, lift a Tractor, Rubber Tired, Articulated Steering, Multipurpose (TRAM) 624KR at the Mesquite Regional Landfill Railyard in Glamis, California, Aug. 28, 2022. 1st LSB and 2nd Transportation Battalion led railhead operations from August 26 to September 1, 2022, in order to deliver logistical support for Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course 1-23 being conducted at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in Yuma, Arizona.
