The best method to build proficiency in Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) is hands-on training via a Mobile Training Suite (MTS). The MTS is a self-sufficient, non-network dependent training system that comes with all items required to establish a training environment in any classroom (24 laptops, server, projector, printer, and all associated cabling). Currently, the Ground Supply and Logistics Operations Schools are the only Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) producing school houses using MTSs to provide students GCSS-MC familiarization training. However, DC, I&L secured funding in FY15 to procure 39 MTS to expand hands-on GCSS-MC training to other logistics focused schools, such as the Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School. The delivery of these MTSs is expected to be completed by May 2016.
