First responders with Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., participated in an aircraft mishap and mass casualty response exercise aboard the installation's flight line. The training provided realistic training designed to improve the responders' reactions to any given scenario. Available in high definition.

Hurricane season began June 1, and base officials are encouraging the public to be prepared. MCIEAST-MCB Camp Lejeune is hosting a Hurricane Preparedness Town Hall Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at the Russell Marine & Family Services Center Auditorium aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, and all active duty service members, civilian employees and family members are encouraged to attend. Important information about hurricanes, preparedness, evacuation procedures and assistance, family, home and pet preparation will be presented. Some of the scheduled speakers include Mr. John Cole with the National Weather Service, Mr. Doug Haas with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Mr. Michael Powell with the American Red Cross and several others.
