Marine Corps Installations East - Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune hosts a cake cutting ceremony to commemorate the 247th birthday of the United States Marine Corps at the Base Theater on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Nov. 10, 2022. The ceremony included the reading of the birthday message from the 13th Commandant of the Marine Corps Maj. Gen. John A. Lejeune, and the tradition of recognizing the oldest and youngest Marines present.

Marines and invited guests will commemorate the Marine Corps’ 246th birthday with a cake cutting ceremony and historical uniform pageant at John A. Lejeune Hall on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., Nov. 10, 2021. The ceremony will include the reading of the birthday message from the 13th Commandant of the Marine Corps Maj. Gen. John A. Lejeune and the tradition of recognizing the oldest and youngest Marines present. The historical uniform pageant showcases Marines in uniform from different eras to show the evolution of the Marine Corps from its beginning in 1775 to the present.

Marine Corps Installations East-Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune hosted the 12th Montford Point Marine Day Ceremony at the Montford Point Marines Memorial in the Lejeune Memorial Gardens, Aug. 26, 2021. The ceremony celebrated the legacy of the original Montford Point Marines and the impact they had on the Marine Corps both past and present. Commandant of the Marine Corps, General David H. Berger, delivered the keynote address.
