LPD: What's Happening Now

Welcome to the LPD Branch public website. You will find information on our Branch, focus areas and points of contact. More importantly, it provides a link to our SharePoint website (CAC enabled) as the "Rosetta Stone" or site for detailed information on USMC expeditionary distribution, freight movements, passenger travel, personal property, and transportation financing. We are here to provide:

Policy and Guidance to the field - LPD is aggressively re-validating and publishing new guidance. Just recently we updated Marine Corps Orders on passenger travel, Transportation Account Code (TAC) Policy, management of containers, and MAGTF deployment and distribution. We have two more Orders in the staffing process you should see in early 2015: Personnel Property and Freight Management. We annually update TAC guidance specific to each Fiscal Year as well.

Occupational Field: 31XX structure management - We are participating in several initiatives which are focusing on institutionalizing training and education programs and placing distribution management expertise in the MAGTF. Specifically, we are sponsoring a Proof of Principles by placing 3102/3112s in MEU's afloat and ashore at Navy Fleet Logistics Centers OCONUS as cargo expeditors. We initiated a TOECR to place four MGySgts at all three MEFs and MARCORLOGCOM. Also we have begun to co-locate 3112s with the Navy in our Personal Property Offices in support of a DOD wide initiative to stream line duplicative processes and save on structure.
