CAPTAIN SCOTT D. LOESCHKE

CIVIL ENGINEER CORPS

UNITED STATES NAVY

Captain Loeschke is a native of Rapid City, SD. He graduated from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and received his commission from Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI in 1993. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado.

After completing Civil Engineer Corps Officer School, CAPT Loeschke’s initial tours included Assistant Resident Officer in Charge of Construction at Naval Air Station Lemoore, CA; Deputy Zone Manager, Public Works Center, Washington, DC; Company Captain / Assistant Operations Officer for Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) ONE THIRTY-THREE, Gulfport, MS; Range Officer, Naval Special Warfare Group ONE, Coronado, CA; Public Works Officer, La Maddalena, Italy; and Executive Officer of NMCB FORTY, Port Hueneme, CA.

Captain Loeschke’s recent tours included Branch Head, PERS-401, Navy Personnel Command, Millington, TN; FIRST Naval Construction Division Liaison Officer to U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and Captain FIFTH Fleet, Bahrain; Commanding Officer, Naval Construction Training Center, Port Hueneme, CA, and Chief Staff Officer, Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, CA

In July 2015, he assumed his current duties as Facilities Director, Marine Corps Installations Command in Washington, DC.

Captain Loeschke is a qualified Seabee Combat Warfare Officer, a member of the Acquisition Professional Community, a registered Professional Engineer in the state of California, and a Certified Energy Manager. His decorations include the Legion of Merit, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Navy Commendation Medals, three Navy Achievement Medals, and other unit and service awards.
