The Marine Corps Business Enterprise Office exists to improve warfighting excellence through a continuous commitment to perform business processes better and at lower cost.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Optimize resources by increasing effectiveness and efficiency:

• Improve performance and reduce cost through continuous improvement and end-to-end process analysis and review
• Sustain effective implementation of competitive sourcing strategy
• Sustain Strategic Purchasing Initiatives
• Improve Management of the Extended Enterprise (external service providers)

Enable the workforce to achieve business objectives:

• Define and develop in-house business skills, abilities and competencies necessary to manage the business enterprise
• Establish a sustaining framework and implement business skill training program
• Define, collect, store, and make easily accessible, standard business information compliant to SFFAS #4: Management Accounting (i.e. full cost of standard processes and standard outputs that are, in turn, linked to standard performance measures)

Provide effective governance and coordination:

• Maintain effective governance of USMC Business Transformation efforts
• Interact effectively with OSD/DoN business transformation organizations
• Publish appropriate policy and guidance
• Manage the Marine Corp Productivity Investment Fund
• Share benchmarks and best practices
